iMovie'08 and Final Cut Pro(FCP)(6.0) can play and edit AVCHD files only with camcorders in using MPEG-2 and AVCHD formats. If you have iMovie'09, two more formats, MPEG-4 and H.264 are covered. You can check support.apple.com, for there they got all supported models of Samsung AVCHD Camcorders.
