Looking for a good pair of binoculars?
I've always wanted a pair of them. We often have deer, hawks, sometimes coyotes, and many beautiful backyard birds. I want to get a good look at them and maybe even use them to stargaze. I'm leaving for florida in two weeks and want to bring a pair with me. I've looked at the bushnell powerView 20x50 Wide Angle Binocular and the 10x50. They seem to have great reviews. If you have a pair you LOVE and they are in a price range of 100 dollars tell me! If you have an amazon link that's even better. Also, if I get the bushnell, what power range do you think I should get?
Thanks!
Wont be used for hunting
If you want a really good pair of binocs, you will have to pay more than $100. You have to consider weight, ease of use, nitrogen filled, waterproof, roof or porro prisim, etc. Sometimes you can find good used ones where a person has traded up. Try Googling for information as there are several good places which specialize. You might find something at Sierra Trading Post, too..always hit or miss, but good service. I got my current pair of 8x42s from Eagle Optics. They are primarily used for birding, but I'm thinking about going to a lighter weight pair.
Hope this helps.
