I'm trying order glasses online; how to properly read Sphere field?
I've recently had my eyes tested & I'm trying to order glasses online for a mild astigmatism, but my prescription is unclear and I haven't been able to find a clear answer online.
Specifically, the Sphere field. O.D. is listed as "M" & O.S. is listed as "JD". When trying to order, I'm given a range of -12.00 to +6.00 which is obviously not "M" or "JD".
For reference, please follow this link for a photo of my prescription; http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/848/prescription.jpg/
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
On second look, that first "M" could be "JD" as well.
Your Rx reads :
Right eye = Plano ( 0.00 ) - 0.75cyl X 088 axis ( 88 same thing )
Left eye = Plano or 0.00 - 1.00 cyl X 088 or 88 axis
Axis can be 088 or just 88 , depending how that site has it set up.
Your sphere is 0.00 or Plano , again depending on the site...you just have power in the cylinder area, along with an axis of course.
Regardless what the letters look like in your sphere column...it is PL...which means Plano
