Need a good rifle scope?
I'm looking for advice on a good scope to buy. It has to have a mildot receptical, be at least a 4-16 power scope no less, and have a fully multicoated, or somewhat coated lense on it. My price range is up to $200, I know most scopes like that cost a lot though, any suggestions?
unless you are shooting extremely small targets, you really dont need all that magnification. you would do well with a 3-9 power scope. also mil-dot on a variable power scope really only works under full magnification. Unless you know how to do the math and know how to range with mil-dots, its pretty much worthless and clutters up the sight picture. Now if you really want one for around 200, your best bet would either be with a bushnells elite

or a Leupold VX-1 with a duplex reticle

IMHO, I would go with the leupold. It has a lifetime warranty and will work great for you. stay away from the Tacticool Junk and get something that you know will serve you and will be reliable.
P.S. dont forget to factor in the price of rings and mounts if you dont already have them
