Does being far sighted or near sighted affect how well a person can see through binoculars or a mounted scope?
I am writing my ninth book, so I am doing research on it. I am going to have many question over the next few weeks so if anyone out there would like to track and help me, it would be appreciated.
My first question is as stated above: How does being near-sighted or far-sighted effect your view when looking through a series of magnification lenses, such as a pair of binoculars, a sniper rifle scope, etc.
For one-eyed vision, not at all. You use the tuning to compensate for your eyesight as well as distance. For two-eyed vision, if your eyes are not matched (e.g. astigmatism in one eye) then the device is only useful if the two eyes are separately tunable.
